The Instructional Leadership Programme (ILP) has partnered with the NAPD and DRUSTVO RAVNATELJ, an association of school leaders in Slovenia, to develop a programme to support principals and deputy principals as instructional leaders.
The programme Lasair, is supported through Léargas funding.
In January 2024, we welcomed our Slovenian partners for a site visit to Cork.
Monday 29th January – Day 1: We scheduled a meeting in CESC and the purpose of the meeting was as follows;
To provide an overview and content of the Lasair Programme.
To discuss the delivery of the pilot programme.
To discuss research of the programme.
Group discussion to answer any queries relating to the programme.
Monday 29th of January concluded with a visit to UCC and Dr Rebecca Saunders facilitated a tour of the college campus.
Tuesday 30th of January and Day 2 commenced in the morning with our 1st school visit.
Thank you to Gael Choláiste Charraig Uí Leighin and Principal Mr Donnchadh Ó Cróinín who provided a very informative day and an excellent tour of the school for our visiting guests.
Tuesday 30th of January and Day 2 concluded in the afternoon with our 2nd school visit.

Wednesday 31st January and Day 3 we travelled to Cobh and visited the Titanic Experience.
Thursday 1st February, concluded the site visit to Cork.
