This week, teachers participating in the KCETB ILP Community of Practice came together in Kilkenny to reconnect with their professional learning, share experiences and reflect on the implementation of their Instructional Leadership Programme (ILP) learning within their schools.
A key focus of the session was developing fluency in the language of instructional leadership and exploring how this shared language supports meaningful conversations about teaching, learning and student engagement. Participants reflected on their growth as instructional leaders and examined the impact of their work to date.
School teams shared practical examples of ILP learning in action, outlining what they implemented, why it was prioritised, the evidence gathered, and the impact on teachers, student learning and student engagement. These presentations sparked rich professional dialogue, with colleagues learning from one another’s experiences and identifying ideas that could be adapted within their own contexts
